Problem Report Number: T08110 Intermittant sharing violations occur when multiple workstations are accessing the server with any method of access. Problem Report Number: T06205 The Corstream Server will not allow functions like DELTREE or TREE commands to function properly when multiple levels of subdirectories are involved. Problem Report Number: T07815 A LANtastic workstation returns only a portion of the available hard disk space if the disk is larger than 2.2G and the volume block size is less than 64K. Problem Report Number: T07740 If the maximum number of available logins is reached, the error message "Network Node not Listening" is returned for any other attempts to log in even after all other users are logged out. Problem Report Number: T07288 A LANtastic workstation connected to a Corstream Server with a 2.2G (plus) hard disk returns 0 bytes free when searching for free disk space. Problem Report Number: T07679 The error message "Abend: Page Fault Processor Exception... Running Process: ADSLANTP... " is returned intermittently when loading ADSLANTP with the default adapters (6). Problem Report Number: T07679 ADSKERN.NLM fails to load retruning the error "Module didn't release 35216 resources..." if files are greater than 1700 on the command line or in NET_MGR. Problem Report Number: T07598 If a file is opened in compatibiltiy - deny write and an application tries to rename that file a sharing violation will be returned. Problem Report Number: T07508 Printing a file to a Corstream Server's redirected port causes the message Do you want to overwrite LPT Y/N? Problem Report Number: T07507 A LANtastic Version 5.0 workstation will lock in WNET V5.00.18 if the Corstream Server's queue is viewed. Problem Report Number: T07482 The error "Short Term Memory Allocator is out of memory, X attempts to get more memory failed..." is returned after many print jobs have been sent to the Server. Problem Report Number: T07318 A workstation with IPX_ROUTING enabled on AILANBIO cannot login to a Corstream Server. Problem Report Number: T07200 The error "Short Term Memory Allocator is out of memory, X attempts to get more memory failed Abend:..." is returned after heavy server usage. Problem Report Number: T07178 A network node may receive invalid "Sharing violation reading drive d:" when atempting to access a drive redirected to a CorStream server while another machine has an exclusive read/write open file and a second machine is trying to open that file. Problem Report Number: T07141 The Corstream Server will now warn the user if the invalid state of Commands > Buffers + Threads is loading and prevent the server from abending by setting the variables properly. Problem Report Number: T07006 This updated Corstream Server now can copy numerous resources using the NET_MGR resource copy command. Problem Report Number: T06961 When an exclusive lock is placed on a file on the Corstream Server, and a second Workstation attempts to access that file the second workstation is aborted to DOS instead of returning an error message. Problem Report Number: T06935 If there are multiple users (100) logged into the Corstream Server and the User Information screen is active, the server will abend after a certain length of time (dependent on the # of users logged in and the network traffic). Problem Report Number: T06823 The error Error in .\src\dbase.c -Line # 301, error:1 (0x00000001) is logged in the file SVRERROR.LOG on the Corstream Server when a user logs into the server. Problem Report Number: T06804 The Corstream Server will now allow more than 1700 files to be open at one time. Problem Report Number: T06803 The error "CLIB-5.0-001:Assertion failed: pSession != NULL, file .src/ session.c, line 423 ABNORMAL NLM TERMINATION IN: ADSNETB:" is returned if the netbios attempts to access the debug code of the Corstream Server. Problem Report Number: T06802 Corstream Server now has an option for 100000 open files instead of 5100 open files. **************************************************************************** RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: **************************************************************************** Log in to the Corstream Server as ADMIN from a LANtastic workstation and copy ADSKERN.NLM from the \\SERVER\C-DRIVE\SYSTEM subdirectory to a temporary subdirectory on the workstation. For example if you have your D:\ drive redirected to the Corstream Server and TEMP is the subdirectory on the workstation, the command would look like this: COPY D:\SYSTEM\ADSKERN.NLM C:\TEMP Extract KRN100.EXE to that temporary directory on a Workstation. Make sure that your licensed ADSKERN.NLM file from your Corstream Server is in this temporary directory. Run the update batch file and follow the instructions to create a licensed copy of ADSKERN.NLM. Attrib the Corstream server files to read/write with the following command from the system directory of the server: D: ATTRIB -R ADS*.NLM where d: is the \\server\c-drive\system subdirectory Copy the new ADSKERN.NLM file that you just patched to the \\SERVER\C-DRIVE\SYSTEM directory along with the other .NLM files that were extracted in the KRN100.EXE file. For example, copying from the temporary subdirectory on the workstation might look lik this: COPY *.NLM G:\SYSTEM NOTE FOR IPX_ROUTING FIX ONLY (T07318): The following is an example of the CORSTRM.NCF file required to make IPX_ROUTING workstations login to the Corstream Server. Note the addition of the ADSNBARB and ADSNBIPX lines: load adsutil load adslips /inet=4 bind adslips to ep3210_1e_ii net=a ;ipx must be previously bound to 802.3 in AUTOEXEC.NCF! load adsnbarb load adsnbipx load adsnetb load adskern load adslantp Also required are the following changes to the AUTOEXEC.NCF file before invoking the CORSTRM.NCF file: load ep3210 slot=X frame=ethernet_802.3 name=ep3210_1_8023 bind ipx to ep3210_1_8023 net=XXXX Finally down the server and restart the server, you will now be running the updated software.
